Observation Windows

Bethany Blair 4/14/09

What’s up with eyes

Say, look in mine

Can you see any lies

I don’t know, see inside

You know, the leaders aren’t blind

They have a vision

It just isn’t mine

Look beyond the object

Your eyes are focused on

Is it deception

Or a kind of protection

Too close together

Or much too far apart

The sayings of each

What do mine transport

Squinting or closed

Wide open and staring

Which is preferred

Are these ones daring

They say the soul spills

Out through eyes

Yet only when they themselves are filled

It is through eyes

That we see the souls of another

But only with souls

Can we understand the eyes of each other
